Catherine Keener
Catherine Keener ( born March 23, 1959 in Miami, Florida ) is an American actress.
Life and career
Keener visited the Catholic Monsignor Edward Pace High School in Miami, then she studied at Wheaton College in Massachusetts until 1983, the subjects English and history.
Keener has starred in numerous films, including 1998 in Out of Sight opposite Jennifer Lopez, George Clooney, Dennis Farina and Michael Keaton. For her role in Being John Malkovich in 2000 she was nominated as Best Supporting Actress for an Academy Award. In the film Full Frontal by Steven Soderbergh in 2002 were David Duchovny Julia Roberts and her co-star.
They often assumes roles in independent films. 2005 Keener starred in Capote in the role of writer Harper Lee alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman. For this performance she was nominated again in 2006 for Best Supporting Actress for an Academy Award.
Catherine Keener is also frequently seen in television roles. She has guest starred on such series as Seinfeld, LA Law and in the series Ohara. She also starred in the television movies Walls Could Talk, Curse of the Com People, Journeys North and Heroine of Hell with.
Keener was in 1990 married to Dermot Mulroney, with whom she has a son. The marriage ended in divorce in 2007.
