Brad Lesley

Bradley Jay Lesley ( born September 11, 1958 in Turlock, † April 27, 2013 in Marina del Rey ) was an American baseball player in the major leagues.

He played from 1982 to 1985 for the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers. Lesley was himself known for his aggressive style to motivate and was therefore nicknamed The Animal ( the animal ). Outside the U.S., he was primarily known for his work in the Japanese game show Takeshi 's Castle as Ajimaru " Animal" Resry. He came to the television show after he played two seasons for the Hankyu Braves in the Japanese Pacific League. Then he had other roles and performances in several films. Among other things on the side of Takeshi Kitano, who also embodied the prince Takeshi in Takeshi 's Castle, he played in the 2000 Japanese film Brother with. He also had a guest role in the American film Mr. Baseball from 1992 with Tom Selleck in the lead role. In 1996, he was seen at the request of Michael Jordan in Space Jam.

Brad Lesley was married to the Japanese Chico, with whom he had a son. Most recently, he lived in Los Angeles and worked for the San Francisco Giants as a youth coach.

On April 27, 2013 Lesley died at the age of 54 from kidney failure.
