Brain Records

Brain was founded in 1972 by Bruno Wendel and Günther Körber record label, on which, in the 1970s, many prominent representatives of Krautrock and German rock published, including New!, Cluster and Guru Guru.

History

Wendel and Körber had worked until 1971 as an A & R manager, where she cared for, among other things, the band Guru Guru. They founded their label in Hamburg as a subsidiary of Metronome Records, beside Guru Guru belonged to cluster the first bands of the label. In the 1970s, Brain, among other recordings by Klaus Schulze, Edgar Froese and Birth Control published. 1974 A is republished Meditation Mass of Yatha Sidhra on Brain, followed by re-releases another five albums of the band. In addition to electronic and psychedelic bands, the Scorpions and Accept part of the repertoire. In addition, a number of British artists at Brain were expelled, this included, among others, Atomic Rooster and Alexis Korner. Körber 1976 left brain to start with Sky Records, a record company.
