Brandon Dietrich
Brandon Dietrich ( born March 22, 1978 in Waterloo, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays since January 2013 for the Eispiraten Crimmitschau in 2nd hockey league as a striker.
Career
Dietrich began his career at the St. Lawrence University, where he played in the NCAA from 1998 to 2000. In the following two seasons, he went first for each Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League and later for the Charlotte Checkers in the East Coast Hockey League to the ice. In the season 2002/ 03 he played in the AHL for the Manchester Monarchs and in the ECHL for the Reading Royals. The 2003/ 04 spent Dietrich in the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators at the with which he failed in the playoffs to the Idaho Steelheads.
In the summer of 2004 he signed a contract with the ESV Kaufbeuren in the 2nd Bundesliga, where he was involved with 64 points scorer instrumental in the relegation of his team. Then the Landshut Cannibals were aware of him and committed the striker for the 2005/ 06 season. With 77 points Dietrich was one of the best scorers in the league. The season 2006/ 07 he started at EHC Biel in the Swiss National League B, before he returned mid-season to Germany and for the polar bears Regensburg went on the ice. In the following season Dietrich returned to Landshut. With the Cannibals he reached the playoff final, but lost that his team in the decisive fifth game against the eventual DEL - Up Kassel Huskies.
In the 2012/13 season Dietrich first played at HC Thurgau in the Swiss National League B. Since early January, the veteran striker scores at the Eispiraten Crimmitschau. To the services of the striker, the Hannover Indians and the EVR Tower Stars had just tried.
