Bratislava I

The Okres Bratislava I is the central district of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia in the far west of the country. It consists essentially of Stare Mesto, the Old Town, formerly the sole urban area, and immediately adjacent neighborhoods. The district has 41,255 inhabitants (2007) and an area of ​​10 km ².

The historic Bratislava lies on the left bank of the Danube, where it is of the later eingemeindeten districts of Bratislava II, Bratislava III and IV surrounded Bratislava, on the right bank of the Danube borders the district of Bratislava.
