Bratislava V

The Okres Bratislava V is a district of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, in the far west of the country with 118 097 inhabitants (2007 ) on an area of 94 km ² and includes the following formerly independent villages:

Since 1919 part of Slovakia:

Since 1947 part of Slovakia:

  • Jarovce ( Croatian - year village)
  • Rusovce ( Charles Castle) and Castle Karlburg
  • Čunovo ( Sarndorf )

To the west the county is bordered by Austria, on the south by Hungary and separated by the Danube River, on the east and north by the districts of Bratislava Bratislava Bratislava I and II as well as to the Okres Senec. Bratislava V includes exactly the Bratislava bridgehead and thus the whole of the Slovak territories that lie to the right of the Danube.
