Brian Carroll
Brian Carroll ( born July 20, 1981 in Springfield, Virginia) is an American football player.
Club career
Carroll played from 2000 to 2002 at Wake Forest University in College Soccer and was in the MLS SuperDraft 2003 in the 2nd round in a total of 11 out of DC United selected. In his first season under coach Ray Hudson Carrol came in Major League Soccer is yet to play and was also awarded for some time at the Richmond Kickers. Only under Hudson's successor Piotr Nowak moved Carroll in the preparation and came in the 2004 season in all 30 games for use. In the subsequent Championship Playoffs Carroll stood in all four games in the starting lineup and won with the team by a 3-2 win against the Kansas City Wizards the championship.
In the following years, the defensive player is one of the key players in DC United, his younger brothers Pat and Jeff Carroll came in this time also to some missions at United. After the 2007 season, he was selected by the San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS Expansion Draft and delivered to Columbus Crew short time later in exchange for Kei Kamara. With Columbus he finished under coach Sigi Schmid Regular Season 2008 as a point best team and then sat down in the play-offs against the competitors by, in the final ensured a 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls for their first championship of Columbus and the second for Carroll.
Since 2011 he has been in Major League Soccer Philadelphia Union in use. In the 2013 season, he was named team captain.
National
Carroll participated with the U.S. U -20 team at the Junior World Championship 2001 in Argentina and failed there with the team in the second round of Egypt. He took in early 2004 with the Olympic team (U - 23) on the continental qualification tournament for the 2004 Summer Olympics, in part, after a 0-4 defeat against Mexico in the semifinals, however, you missed the part in the Olympics.
In 2005 he made his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Panama in the U.S. national team. As a result, he came several times in friendlies for use.
