Budča

Budča ( until 1927 slovak " Buča "; German Butsch, Hungarian Zólyombúcs - to 1907 Búcs ) a municipality in Okres Zvolen within the Banskobystrický is kraj in Slovakia, with about 1,200 inhabitants.

Geography

The municipality is located in the narrow valley of the river Hron on Bach Turova whose confluence with the Hron is located south of the town and is located just six kilometers west of the town of Zvolen.

History

Budča was first mentioned in 1254 as Bucharest and was originally inhabited by free peasants, but succeeded in the 14th century to the reign of the castle Dobra Niva. In the 16th and 17th centuries it was repeatedly drawn by Ottoman attacks and occupations in the period of the anti-Habsburg uprisings affected.
