Bungo-ōno, Ōita

Bungo Ōno (Japanese豊 后 大野 市, - shi) is a city located in Oita Prefecture in Japan.

Geography

Bungo Ōno located southeast of Oita, east of Taketa and west of Saiki and Usuki.

History

The city was on 31 March 2005 from the communities Asaji (朝 地 町, machi ), Inukai (犬 饲 町, machi ), Mie (三重 町, machi ), Ogata (绪 方 町, machi ) and Ōno ( 大野 町, machi ), and the villages of Chitose (千 歳 村founded, -mura ) and Kiyokawa (清 川村, -mura ) of the district Ōno. The county was dissolved with it. During the second part of the name of Bungo - Ōno refers to this district, comes the first of the province of Bungo which stretched before in the area of the prefecture.
