Bydlino

Bydlino ( German BEDLIN, Kashubian Bëdlëno ) is a village in Slupsk in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Bydlino located in Pomerania, midway between Slupsk ( Stolp ) and Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) at the transition of the province road 210 across the river Słupia ( Stolpe ). Neighboring villages are Charnowo ( Arnshagen ) in the northwest, Machowino ( United Machmin ) to the northeast and Strzelinko (small Strellin ) and Strzelino ( United Strellin ) in the south. In the east, the village adjacent to the 38 meter high hill Bedliner mountain.

History

The small village, in its beginnings a village streets, was called in former times also Beddelin. According to records, it was in 1485 belonged to the noble family of Schwaven and then since 1626 in the possession of the noble family von Lettow. In 1784 there were in BEDLIN a Barbican, a grain and saw mill, three farmers, three Kossäten, a schoolmaster and eleven hearths (households).

Before 1945 BEDLIN belonged to the district of Stolp in Pomerania Region of Pomerania. In 1925 were 23 houses in the village. The municipal area was 527 hectares. 1939 were counted 57 households and 198 inhabitants. Last landowner in BEDLIN before 1945 was Konrad von Uckermann († 1973 in White Castle in Bavaria).

Towards the end of World War II BEDLIN was occupied on March 8, 1945 by the Red Army and then together with all Pomerania Poland. During the year, Poland took over the houses and farmsteads. There were mainly eastern Poland from the region of Suwalki ( Suwalki ). The villagers were 1945/46, driven out. 59 expelled from BEDLIN villagers were later identified in the Federal Republic of Germany and 93 in the GDR.

BEDLIN was renamed Bydlino. In 2007 the village had 212 inhabitants.
