Byrdmaniax

Occupation

Byrdmaniax is the tenth album by the American folk rock band The Byrds. It was released on June 23, 1971 on the label, Columbia Records. After the Byrds had recovered with Ballad of Easy Rider and ( Untitled ) again by the failure of fans and critics alike poorly recorded Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde, they allowed themselves with Byrdmaniax another flop. In the United States, the album reached # 46 on the pop charts that make it quite quickly said goodbye again, in the UK it did not come to a charting of the album. The poor reviews and sales figures had the album due probably the orchestral arrangements and the Gospel Choir, the producer Terry Melcher and arranger Paul POLENA beimischten the album, and in contrast to the more economical instrumented previous albums of the band were.

Two singles were released from the album, both of which failed both in the UK and in the States at the charts. In May I Trust ( Everything Is Gonna Work Alright ) came up with the This Is My Destiny B-side on the market ( both titles were cut on the album cover and hot there, only I Trust and My Destiny ) and on August 20 appeared Glory, Glory with Citizen Kane as a B-side.
