Cameri

Cameri ( Piedmontese Cambra or Camra, Camer Lombard ) is a town with 10,835 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Novara (NO ), Region Piedmont.

The neighboring municipalities are Bellinzago Novarese, Caltignaga, Castano Primo, Galliate, Nosate, Novara and Turbigo. The patron saint of the place is San Michele Arcangelo and Santa Gregoria.

Geography

The village lies at an altitude of 161 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 39 km ².

Military airfield

In Cameri is a military airfield of the Italian Air Force Tornado and Typhoon Euro Fighter are technically obsolete on the combat aircraft types. At the airport the company Alenia plants for final assembly (final assembly line ) of new fighter Lockheed Martin F -35 is set up.
