Campagne (Oise)

Campagne is a commune of 150 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Oise in the Picardie region. It belongs to the canton of Guiscard and the Local Government Association Pays Noyonnais.

Geography

Campagne is located in the Pays Noyonnais on Lateral Canal à l' Oise, 98 kilometers northeast of Paris, 88 kilometers north- west of Reims, 8 kilometers north-west of Noyon and 6.6 kilometers southwest from the cantonal capital of Guiscard, between the neighboring communities Catigny in the southwest and Frétoy -le -Château in the Northeast.

History

Campagne was mentioned as Campaignes 1084 documentary. 1793 campaign was given the status of a municipality and 1801 the right to local self-government in the wake of the French Revolution ( 1789-1799 ). However, from 1828 to 1832, the town belonged to Catigny. The municipality received the Order of Croix de guerre 1914-1918 for service in the First World War on 15 February 1921.
