Houdancourt

Houdancourt is a commune with 580 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Oise in the Picardie region.

Geography

The community Houdancourt located about 20 kilometers southwest of Compiegne and 55 kilometers north of Paris in the valley of the Oise. The Oise forms the southern boundary of the municipality of Houdancourt. The flat landscape in the south of the municipal area is characterized by remnants of alluvial forests and numerous water-filled former gravel pits and fish - ponds. The northern half of the municipality is dominated by arable and pasture land. To Houdancourt part of the district of Le Mont Aubert.

Neighboring communities of Houdancourt are Grandfresnoy in the north, Chevrières in the East, Longueuil -Sainte -Marie in the southeast, Pontpoint and Les Ageux in the south and Bazicourt in the West.
