Campbell Scott

Campbell Scott ( born July 19, 1961 in New York City ) is an American actor and director.

Life and achievements

Campbell Scott is the son of the deceased actor couple George C. Scott and Colleen Dewhurst, who studied at the Lawrence University in Wisconsin. He is mainly known from the film Dying Young ( Dying Young) from 1991, in which he starred opposite Julia Roberts. For the role of cancer Victor Gaddes he was nominated for the Film Awards MTV Movie Award.

In the film, Five Corners ( Five Corners ) from 1987 Scott starred alongside Jodie Foster and Tim Robbins in the movie Singles - Together alone ( singles ) from 1992 alongside Bridget Fonda, in the film The Prisoner ( The Spanish Prisoner ) from 1997 with Steve Martin.

Together with Stanley Tucci led Scott directed the film Big Night from 1996. Prize for this work both the Sundance Film Festival became the Grand Jury nominated. They won the New York Film Critics Circle Award and the Boston Society of Film Critics Award. In the 26th Genie Awards Campbell Scott was nominated in 2006 for best performance in a supporting role in the film Saint Ralph. In 2010 he played the role of Joe Tobin in the series Damages - the power.
