Carlo Schmid-Sutter

Carlo Schmid- Sutter ( born March 11, 1950 in heathen home right in Oberegg ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP).

Life

Carlo Schmid -Sutter was from 1979 to 1995 Member of the Grand Council of Appenzell Innerrhoden, 1984/1986, 1988/1990 and 1992/ 1994, he presided over the Council. From 1984 to 2013 he was also the Chief Magistrate in the Ethics Committee of Appenzell Inner Rhodes, where he headed the Department of Education. Successor as the reigning Country Ammann was Daniel Fässler.

From 1980 to 2007 he was a member of the Senate, he also presided over the 1999/2000.

From 1992 to 1994 he was President of the CVP Switzerland. Among other roles, he chaired today the Federal Electricity Commission ( Elcom ).
