Carmen Küng

Carmen Küng ( born January 30, 1978 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss curler.

Your athletic career began at CC Solothurn. In 1996 she reached the fourth place in the Junior World Championship in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada as vice in the team of Skip Nadja Heuer. Two years later, they arrived at the European Championships again on the fourth. Your first medal she won at the 2000 European Championships with the third place. The following year, she reached with the same team for the first time curling World Championship and landed there at the home World Cup with nine defeats a disappointing last place.

One of her greatest achievements was winning the bronze medal at the Curling World Championships 2008 in Vernon in the team of Skip Mirjam Ott. Also in 2008, she won the gold medal of Curling Championship 2008.

The Curling Championship 2009 in Aberdeen Küng won the silver medal in the team by Mirjam Ott. The Round Robin had completed the team first. The Page playoff game against Denmark to win one, but lost the final against Germany with 5:7.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, she stood with her team in the small final and played for the bronze medal. The 3rd place match she lost against the Chinese team to skip Wang Bingyu with 6:12. At the 2012 World Championships in Lethbridge, she won the gold medal in the final against Sweden.

At the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, she stood with their team again in the small final, but lost the opponents of Great Britain with 5:6.
