Carmen Valero

Carmen Valero ( María Carmen Valero Omedes; born October 4, 1955 in Castelserás, Teruel Province ) is a former Spanish middle and long distance runner, who had their greatest success in cross-country running.

It was 1972-1978 seven consecutive Spanish champion in 1500 -meter run, they also brought three national titles over 800 m ( 1974 to 1976 ), four more than 3000 m ( 1974-1976, 1978), a more than 5000 m ( 1986) and eight in Cross Country ( 1973-1978, 1982, 1987). 1973 and 1977 she was in the hall Spanish champion in the 1500 m. Your Spanish records over 800, 1500 and 3000 m had until well into the 1980s stock.

After winning at the World Cross Country Championships 1975 Bronze, she won gold in 1976 and 1977. At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, she was the first athlete ever deployed by Spain, but resigned both the 800m as well as more than 1500 m in the run- off.
