Carole Jane Pachl

Carole Jane Pachl ( born December 23, 1938 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a former Canadian figure skater who started in a single run.

Pachl is the daughter of a formerly famous in Czechoslovakia and Germany stage and film actress and a wealthy Czechoslovak chocolate manufacturer. Her father was spent by the Nazis in a concentration camp and confiscated after the war by the Communists. Then the family went to Montreal.

At the age of eight years Pachl began in earnest with the figure skating before, they had mainly interested in ballet. Her mother took her to England to train with Arnold Gerschwiler. Later Pachl also coached under Gustave Lussi in Lake Placid and Otto gold in Ottawa.

1955-1957 was Pachl Canadian champion. In 1954 she had her debut at the World Championships, which she finished in eighth place on. In 1955 she finished sixth in their last World Cup in 1957 they finished fourth. Pachl represented Canada at the Olympic Winter Games 1956 in Cortina d' Ampezzo, reaching there in sixth place.
