Çatak (Armenian Շատախ Šatax ) is a town and a district in Turkey. It belongs to the province of Van in eastern Anatolia and lies. Çatak located in the southwest of the province and borders the provinces of Siirt and Sirnak. The district has 24 398 inhabitants Çatak, the city 6,630 (as of 2011 ). The city Çatak lies between the mountains on the eponymous river, which flows into the Botan.
