Cédric Heymans

Cédric Heymans ( born July 20, 1978 in Brive, Corrèze ) is a French rugby union player. He plays as a winger or district goalkeeper for Aviron Bayonnais and the French national team.

Heymans began his career at CA Brive, with whom he won the Heineken Cup in 1997. He subsequently moved to SU Agen, where he played for one season. Then he was bound from Toulouse, where he has since established itself as an international top player.

His debut for the French national team, he was in 2000, when he came off the bench in the Six Nations match against Italy. In the same year he played against Romania, but then had to wait until the summer of 2002 in order to get to another use. His first try he scored against South Africa in the winter of 2002. At the end of this season he was again able to celebrate winning the Heineken Cup, this time with Toulouse.

2004 saw Heymans to four other missions in the national team jersey and was among others the victory here against Australia. With Toulouse, he again reached the final of the Heineken Cup, but had to concede defeat to the London Wasps. In the following season the finals succeeded in the European Cup, the victory of his team Heymans was the first player to have won the competition three times.

In the following season Heymans belonged to the squad of the French national team that won the Six Nations. He succeeded in attaining this two attempts against Ireland. Also in the fall at the games against the All Blacks and South Africa, he was able to lay attempts. France won following the Six Nations 2007, Heymans came here four times for use and was also nominated for the World Cup. First, he acted as the final player, but after the defeat against Argentina, he moved to the position of outer three-quarter and reached the semi-finals with France.

With the Six Nations 2008 Heymans was reinstated as goalkeeper. He succeeded in this year the first player to the fifth finals in the Heineken Cup, in the Toulouse but was defeated Munster itself. In the season 2011/12 he moved back to Aviron Bayonnais.
