Céline Schärer

Céline Schärer (born 9 February 1990) is a Swiss professional triathlete, Swiss U23 champion in 2010 and a member of the national squad in the Swiss Triathlon Team Olympic Distance.

Career

In 2006, Schärer part in her first ITU Competition and finished 26th at the Junior World Cup. In 2007, she was 24 or 31 at the Junior European and World Championships and won a number of prestigious Swiss triathlons in her age group: Aquathlon Basel (May 26, 2007 Youth A ), Murthen Triathlon (June 10, 2007 Junior) and Zyttrum Triathlon (June 16, 2007 Youth A).

2008 and 2009 Schärer reached four times top ten placings in Junior European Cup, in Switzerland, she won the Zurich Triathlon (12 July 2008), in 2009 she won the VW Circuit (Junior) and was second in the Swiss Junior Championships. In 2010 she was 9 at the U23 European Championship and 23 at the U23 World Cup.

In Switzerland Céline Schärer represents the swimming club Frauenfeld and the Tri Team Zugerland ( Triathlon Checkpoint Zugerland ).

Since 2008, Schärer also competes in the French Club Championship Series Lyonnaise des Eaux, first for Ste. Geneviève, since 2009 for Tri Club Chateauroux 36 In the 2010 season Schärer participated in two of the five Lyonnaise competitions. In Paris (18 July 2010), she was 35, at the conclusion Triathlon in La Baule (18 September 2010) 30, which she still was second best of their club and was one of the three triathletes classants l' équipe. In September 2012, it was the Swiss Vice - champion in the Olympic triathlon distance.

Céline Schärer lives in Steinhausen and joined the specialized middle school in train from. Even her partner Manuel Küng is active as a triathlete in the Swiss national team.
