Charles Bozon

Charles Bozon (* December 15, 1932 in Chamonix, † July 7, 1964 ) was a French alpine skier.

The World Ski Championships 1962 in Chamonix, he won the title in the slalom. In the 1956 Olympics, he finished second in the combination and at the 1960 Olympic Games in Squaw Valley, he won the bronze medal in the slalom. From 1956 to 1961 he was six times French champion - twice each in slalom, giant slalom and downhill. Bozon came in 1964 in an avalanche on Mont Blanc died. In his birthplace Chamonix a ski slope (Charles Bozon piste ) was named after him.
