Chip Reese

David "Chip" Reese ( born March 28, 1951 in Centerville, Ohio; † December 4, 2007 in Las Vegas ) was an American poker player.

Career

Reese studied at Dartmouth College economics. He then enrolled in the Stanford Law School. After he had won $ 40,000 in Las Vegas, Reese, however, decided to become a poker player.

He won three tournaments of the World Series of Poker. In 1978, he won a $ 1,000 Seven - Card Stud tournament and 1982, a $ 5,000 Seven - Card Stud tournament. Doyle Brunson described him in his book Super System as one of the two best young players in the world and the best Seven Card Stud player, against whom he had ever played.
