Christiane Weber (rower)

Christiane Weber is a former German rower from Hamburg, which was twice the early 1990s, world champion in the lightweight double sculls.

Weber won in 1988 along with Alrun Urbach at the German Championships in the lightweight double sculls, then they were nominated for the World Championships in Milan, where she reached the final and there came in 5th place. In the following year, the duo won the championship title, at the World Championships in Bled they rowed to the bronze medal.

At the German Championships 1990 in Duisburg they were subject capes and Brigitte Ruth Helmers, because capes but the one launched at the U23 World Championships, advanced to the world championships in Tasmania Weber Helmers in the double sculls, they finished fifth in the final rank

1991 and 1992, started along with Claudia Weber Waldi in the lightweight double sculls. In both years, they were able to win both at the German Championships as well as at the World Rowing Championships. They were thus the first team, who managed this, even if this record should be set already in the next three years by Colleen Miller and Wendy Wiebe.

1993 Weber had to pause because she was paralyzed temporarily by a syringe against sciatica pain. It was not until 1994, she was able to train again, she was together with Constanze Ahrendt 1996 again German Vice Champion in the lightweight double sculls. Then finished weavers who rowed for the rowing club at the Teichwiesen 1965, her career.
