Christie (TTC)

Christie is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Bloor- Danforth line of the Toronto Subway, at the intersection of Bloor Street and Christie Street. The station has side platforms, is used daily by an average of 12,060 passengers (2009 /10).

In the immediate vicinity of Christie Pits Park. There is a transfer possibility to a bus route. The opening of the station took place on 26 February 1966 in conjunction with the section Keele - Woodbine. On October 15, 1976 stuck vandals shortly before closing a subway car on fire. The train stopped in Christie and the station had to be evacuated. The fire taught at substantial property at the station and part of the Bloor- Danforth Line was two days out of service.
