Christopher Joseph Weldon

Christopher Joseph Weldon ( born September 6, 1905 in New York City, USA, † 19 March 1982) was Bishop of Springfield.

Life

Christopher Joseph Weldon received on 21 September 1929, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On January 28, 1950, he was named by Pope Pius XII. Bishop of Springfield. The Archbishop of Boston, Richard Cushing, gave him on 24 March of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman, and the Auxiliary Bishop of New York, Stephen Joseph Donahue.

On October 15, 1977 Christopher Joseph Weldon resigned as Bishop of Springfield.
