Christopher McNaughton

Christopher McNaughton ( born October 11, 1982 in Leutershausen ) is a German professional basketball player. In the season 2010/2011 he played for the EWE Baskets Oldenburg in the National Basketball League. Currently playing the 2.11 m wide center for the s.Oliver Baskets from Würzburg.

Career

Christopher McNaughton began his career with TSV Ansbach. He then played for TSV Tröster Breitengüßbach in the 2nd Basketball Bundesliga and with double license in the National Basketball League for the TSK Bamberg. While studying in the United States from 2003 he played at Bucknell University for the Bison in NCAA Division I. He was involved in the biggest successes of this high school team, the two-time qualifier for the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2005 and 2006, which for teams in the Patriot League is certainly to be regarded as a success. Among 2005 was a first round victory over the heavily favored Jayhawks of the University of Kansas with the game-winning basket success of McNaughton. The temporary teammate of Charles Lee is one of the ten best points collectors of all time his high school team. After a short stay at CB L' Hospitalet in the LEB Oro, the second division of Spain, McNaughton played two years in the third-class LEB Plata, where he was active for the clubs Prat Joventut and Faymasa Palencia. With the latter club he won the 2009 championship and the League Cup this class. Then he returned to Germany and played the following season for BG Göttingen. With Göttingen, he won the 2010 Euro Challenge, the only third Cup victory of a German team in a European competition. In Krasnye Krylia Samara final against he was involved as top scorer with 22 points crucial to the success.

For the 2010/2011 season moved McNaughton within the league with the German champion in 2009 EWE Baskets Oldenburg. He got there a contract for two years, but which has been already terminated by the EWE Baskets after the 2010/2011 season. McNaughton then signed a contract with the polar bears Bremerhaven for the season 2011/2012.

After a year, by the polar bears the Play Offs missed McNaughton moved again within the League and joined the s.Oliver Baskets from Würzburg. There he was given a contract until 2014.
