Geography
Geographical Location
Leutershausen is located on the Altmühltherme approximately in the middle between the district capital of Ansbach and Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Neighboring municipalities are ( starting in the north clockwise): Geslau, Colmberg, teaching mountain, Ansbach, Herrieden, Herzogenaurach, Dombühl, Schillingsfuerst and book the wood.

History
Leutershausen was probably founded around 800 by Frankish settlers. For the first time in documents is the place for the year 1000 as "villa Liuthereshusunin " in the wild spell certificate of Emperor Otto III is .. After the Thirty Years' War here and in the surrounding area were numerous exiles a new home that had been sold as Protestants from Austria.
Leutershausen in changing times (examples)

Leutershausen is a member of Tourism Romantic Franconia and in the development of society Region Hesselnberg. The city is also a member of the Municipal Alliance " AGIL " which consists of the towns of Herzogenaurach, Burgoberbach, Herrieden and Leutershausen.
Further facilities in Leutershausen still different companies, including Germany's biggest yarn finishers, the TVU Textile Finishing Union GmbH & Co. KG, which is also the largest employer in Leutershausen.
Traffic
The district Wiedersbach is on the railway line Nuremberg - Crailsheim. The station Leutershausen - Wiedersbach is currently shut down and is traversed by the trains without stopping. In future, the stop in the S-Bahn Nürnberg is included. With the extension of S4 from Ansbach to Dombühl the timetable change in December 2017, the maintenance should be reactivated.

Leutershausen is the hometown of the aviation pioneer Gustav Weisskopf. The plane white head was rebuilt on the occasion of the anniversary of the Wright brothers and the model 21 is actually flown successfully. Furthermore, Paula Kissinger ( née Stern ), the mother of Henry Kissinger born in Leutershausen. National Basketball Players Christopher McNaughton was born in Leutershausen.
Other personalities who are associated with Leutershausen
In Leutershausen died about the middle of the 16th century Augsburg Baptist leader George Nespitzer, after he had revoked his Anabaptist views during a prison stay in Ansbach.
Freeman
Leutershausen was the third German city that Adolf Hitler in 1932 appointed an honorary citizen. 1948 honorary citizenship was revoked by the City Council.
