History

The village Diebach originated around the year 700. A toll and protective castle of the lords of Diebach was mentioned in documents around 1236 and was 1557-1651 in the possession of the Rothenburg patrician family of the von Fürbringer. In the Thirty Years' War hiked Upper Austrian exiles in Diebach one, one of their own, Matthias Pantzer from Stockerau acquired the castle in 1651, the then frequently changed hands. 1803, the village of Bavaria. 1817, the thief Acher castle became so dilapidated that it was demolished. The community Diebach was established in 1818.

On 1 May 1978, the formerly independent communities Beller Hausen and Oestheim were incorporated.

The coat of arms description reads: In red a silver tip is swept, it bowed over blue wave bar leaves a black crown; Front right is a vertical silver rust, rear left a silver mermaid who holds a silver Seeblatt in his right hand.
