Chrudichromy

Chrudichromy ( German Chrudichrom ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-west of Boskovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Chrudichromy is on the left of the Svitava in the Bosko brázda. To the north rises the Hodiška (410 m ) south of the Habří (451 m) and northwest of the Kopanisko (405 m). In the northwest, the route of the unfinished Reichsautobahn Vienna to Wroclaw Chrudichromy passes.

Neighboring towns are Michov, Hodiška and Bacov in the north, and Sudice Pastvisko in the northeast, and Okrouhlá Vratíkov in the east, Boskovice in the southeast, Mladkov in the south, and Voděrady Vaculka the southwest, Svitávka in the west and Klevetov and Zboněk in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village took place in 1349. During the time the place was called Chuděchromy and Chrudichrom. Since 1539 Chrudichromy belonged to the rule Boskovice.

After the abolition of patrimonial Chrudichrom formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Boskovice. At this time occurred in Chrudichrom the cultivation of Weber carding machines, which were sold to Hamburg, Leipzig and Berlin. Since the end of the 19th century, the church bears the name Chrudichromy. In the years 1891 to 1892 was built with support for 1,000 florins by Emperor Franz Joseph I. a one-class village school. The volunteer fire department was founded in 1905., In 1910 burned in a large fire that half of the village down. In the same year began on the hill Trníček the mining of coal. In school, a local library has been set up in 1920. In 1923, the coal mining was stopped because of inferior quality. 1930 lived 378 people in Chrudichromy. The village stream in 1935 regulated. At the western end of the village took place 1939-1941 construction of the autobahn in Vienna Wroclaw, for 18 acres of land were annexed. In 1976, the annexation to Boskovice. Since 1992, the community is again.
