Chun Lee-kyung

Chun Lee - kyung ( born January 6, 1976 in Gyeongsangbuk -do) is a short track speed skater from South Korea. It is the second most successful athlete at the Olympic Winter Games in the relatively new discipline Short Track, just behind Wang Meng, who still has a silver medal more (male Viktor Ahn has a bronze medal more).

Career

Her first Olympic participation was in 1992 in Albertville. She was then 16 years old. She took on the running part over 500 m and there was twelfth. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer she won gold in short track speed skating 1000 m and 3000 m with the season. The run over 500 meters, she finished in 15th place four years later at the Games in Nagano could defend both gold medals. In addition, she won the bronze medal over 500 m.

Between 1995 and 1997 she also won the world championship three times.
