Church of the Condemnation and Imposition of the Cross

Condemnation Chapel in the Old City of Jerusalem on the Via Dolorosa was built in 1903 by Wendelin Hinterkeuser on the walls of a Byzantine church. It recalls the condemnation of Jesus by Pontius Pilate (Jn 18.28-39 EU, Mk 15.1 to 15 EU, Lk 23.1 to 25 EU; Matthew 27.11 to 26 EU). In the same courtyard as the condemnation chapel is the Flagellation chapel.
