Cleveland Golf

The Cleveland Golf Company Inc. is an American company based in Huntington Beach, California. Cleveland develops and manufactures golf equipment such as golf clubs and other accessories. The company was founded in 1979 by Roger Cleveland.

History

Already in the 1960s, built Roger Cleveland crafted replicas of famous golf clubs. Even after the company was founded in 1979, however, Cleveland Golf has remained a small manufacturer on the market. The logical consequence was the 1990 takeover by Rossignol. The founder joined as chief designer for larger competitors Callaway, also in California resident. However, Cleveland Golf was retained as an independent subsidiary company under the old name.

2005 Rossignol was in turn taken over. Thus, Cleveland Golf comigrated with the putter manufacturers Never Compromise on Surf Quiksilver equipment.

In October 2007, Quiksilver announced for $ 132.5 million to the Japanese SRI Sports Limited want to sell. At SRI (Sumitomo Rubber Industries ) already includes brands such as Dunlop and Srixon.
