Club Atlético Huracán

Club Atlético Huracán is an Argentine sports club based in Buenos Aires. The association founded in 1908 is located in the district of Parque Patricios and has, among other departments for hockey and boxing, but is best known for its football team. Huracán won four championships Amateurära and in 1931 co-founded the professional league. Since then, the club won the Campeonato Metropolitano 1973 another championship and beyond five runner-up. The most prominent player in club history is Alfredo Di Stéfano, who began his international career at Huracan. Another star of the club history is Guillermo Stábile, scorer of the first FIFA World Cup 1930.

Huracán, historically one of the six major clubs in the country, until 1986, was continuously top notch, but increasingly difficult to maintain since the last decade at the highest level, playing in the League Primera B Nacional for a renewed decline in 2010.

History

After a 5-2 victory over Godoy Cruz CA rose Huracán 2006/ 07 through the playoffs in the Primera División. Though the club was only officially established in 1908, there are also records that go back to 1903. The great arch rival Huracán is the CA San Lorenzo de Almagro. The association has its seat in Parque Patricios in Buenos Aires. His biggest period witnessed the club mid-70s, as Huracán won his only previous title in the Argentine professional era.

In the recent past Huracán was more frequent in the second league. Among other things, the capital club celebrated 1990 and 2000 the championship in League 2

Stadium

Club Atlético Huracán in the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Duco plays, Buenos Aires. The stadium was inaugurated on 10 November 1949. The stadium has a capacity of 48 314 spectators.
