Codex Augiensis

The Codex Augiensis ( Gregory -Aland no mp or 010 ) is a Greek- Latin manuscript of the Pauline Epistles, which is dated to the 9th century. The manuscript is not complete.

Description

The Codex consists of 136 described parchment leaves (23 to 19 cm); However, the Codex is missing some parts of the Pauline Epistles (Romans 1:1-3:19, 1 Cor 3:8-16, 6:7-14, Colossians 2:1-8, Phil 21-25, Hebrews ).

There are similarities to the Codex and the Codex Boernerianus Claromontanus.

The leaves are in Cambridge under the catalog number B. XVII at Trinity College. 1 kept. A scribe, probably even the first hand, sat at one point a German word with a Greek, which confirmed the origin of the German-speaking countries. The Codex was purchased in 1718 by Richard Bentley by 250 Dutch guilders.
