Codex Cyprius

The Codex cyprius ( Gregory -Aland no Ke or 017; von Soden ε 71 ) is a Greek manuscript of the four Gospels, which is dated to the 9th century. The manuscript is complete.

Description

It consists of the four Gospels on 267 parchment leaves, but the Codex is missing some parts of the Gospels.

The format is 26 x 19 cm, the text is in one column with 16-31 rows.

The Greek text of Codex represents the Byzantine text and the category V is assigned.

History

The manuscript was examined by Bernard de Montfaucon, Scholz, Johann Leonhard Hug, Samuel P. Tregelles, Konstantin von Tischendorf, Silva Lake, and William Hatch.

The Codex is preserved in the Bibliothèque nationale de France ( Gr. 63).
