The Col de la Madeleine is a 1993 meter high mountain pass in France. It is located in the department of Savoie, which is part of the region Rhône -Alpes. The altitude used on the pass sign of some publications and in connection with the Tour de France of 2000 meters is not correct.

The Col de la Madeleine connects La Chambre in Maurienne valley with the villages Aigueblanche and Feissons -sur -Isère in the Tarentaise. The Südzufahrt of La Chambre measures 19.3 kilometers with an average gradient of 8.0 percent, the North Directions from Aigueblance 28.3 km with an average gradient of 5.4 percent. Winter closure is from November to early June.

The Col de la Madeleine was so far 25 times in the Tour de France program for the first time in the Tour in 1969, the last time in 2013 during the 19th stage. The pass is always classified it as a mountain stage of the Hors Category.
