The Comarques Centrals is one of seven territories ( Ambit funcionals Territorials ), Autonomous Community of Catalonia in, which was with the Regional Plan ( Pla territorial general de Catalunya) decided in 1995 by law.

Comarques Centrals has an area of ​​5450.37 km ² and has 424,743 inhabitants (2009 ). The territory is located in the center of Catalonia.
