Corale Alpina Savonese
The Chorale Alpina Savonese is an a cappella men's choir, which was founded in the fall of 1949. Since 1987, he is led by Eugenio Alipede.
History
The Chorale Alpina Savonese was founded in November 1949 by a group of university students from the mountain singing ( Italian Alpine folk music ) were thrilled. Since 1951 the choir occurs before an audience at the beginning only locally, and later nationally and internationally.
The choir has participated in numerous singing competitions, where it has get good rankings and ratings. Since 1978, he organized an important parade of choirs in the urban theater " Gabriello Chiabrera " of Savona; there are famous choirs occurred as I Crodaioli from Arzignano, led by Bepi de Marzi, author of song " Signore delle Cime ", which has been translated into many languages , and the chorus of Alpini Brigade Taurinense.
Occurred abroad, the choir is the first time in 1969 in France, in Grenoble and in the castle of Lesdiguières in Vizille. From 1983, he has six times ( 1983, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1997 and 2002) in Villingen -Schwenningen, the German twin town of Savona, occurred. In 1985, he gave a few concerts in Reutlingen. In May 2006, he has appeared at the invitation of the choir La Cle des Chants in the Cathedral of Orange ( France).
He has also participated in many national and international parades. Most recently, he has participated in the International Parade " Singing in the Mountains" 2003 in Wolfsberg in Carinthia, twice on the 8th and 9th " International Choir Festival " in 2005 and 2006 in Val Pusteria, occur in the choirs from around the world.
For some special occasions, the choir has occurred: 1960 in Imperia, the concert in honor of Achille Compagnoni, conqueror of K2, and 1972 on board the destroyer with missile launcher " Intrepido " ( Impavido class) of the Italian Navy in Savona during the handover of the war flag.
Repertoire
The repertoire ranges from alpine and mountain songs to the " Spirituals " by the popular songs of the new arrangements of famous songs, up to a few hymns and to known and unknown pieces from the Ligurian tradition composers.

The glee club is currently going to include some songs that are put together in a new recording which will come out in late 2008.
