Countdown to Ecstasy is the second studio album by the American band Steely Dan.
General
Donald Fagen sang all the tracks on the album.
The original artwork of the cover art was designed by Fagens girlfriend Dorothy White. The ABC president Jay Lasker insisted to extend the original three pieces on five, so the number was consistent with the five band members.
1999 Joe Jackson described in his autobiography, A Cure for Gravity, that Countdown to Ecstasy was as a bridge between jazz and rock, a great inspiration for his compositions.
Title list
All tracks were written by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen.
