Crempigny-Bonneguête

Crempigny - Bonneguête is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Crempigny - Bonneguête is located at 501 m above sea level. M., approximately 18 km west-northwest of the city of Annecy ( straight line ). The double municipality extends in a short northern tributary of Fier, in the hills on the eastern foot of the Montagne des Princes, in Genevois.

The area of ​​5.82 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the western Genevois. The area occupied by undulating relief of the hill between the valleys of Fier in the south and in the north Usses. History

In the 11th century a priory was founded in Bonneguête. In 1973 the previously separate small communities Crempigny and Bonneguête merged to today's double municipality.

Attractions

The village church of Saint- Quentin in Crempigny was built in 1886 in the style of neoclassicism. The Church of Bonneguête was rebuilt in the 19th century on the site of a Gothic previous building, with some parts of the former house of worship were included. Among the remarkable secular buildings include the medieval castle (later remodeled several times ) in Crempigny, the Château Le Fey, the mill of Bellefontaine and the houses of the traditional Savoyard style Bonneguête ( 15th to 18th century).
