Cults (Aberdeen)

Cults (Gaelic: A ' Chùilt ) is a suburb of the Scottish city of Aberdeen. He is about six kilometers west of the city center on the north bank of the Dee to the east of Milltimber. In 1991, Cults recorded 5265 inhabitants. Cults is growing very rapidly for several decades and could quadruple its population between 1951 (1361 inhabitants) and 1991. Historically, several mills were operated in Cults; Today it serves as a commuter settlement for Aberdeen.

In the 19th century Cults received its own railway station on the Deeside Railway line of the Great North of Scotland Railway, which ran from Aberdeen to Ballater. The line was closed in 1966. The A93 runs through the village of Cults and closes to the road network. The A90 is a few kilometers to the east.
