Custom House for ExCeL DLR station

Custom House is a station on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR ) in the London Borough London Borough of Newham. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 3 on the Victoria Dock Road in the Custom House District. The name comes from the former customs house (English custom house ) on the north side of the Royal Victoria Dock. Just south of the station is the exhibition hall ExCeL Exhibition Centre, in the midst of a district with hotels, restaurants and bars. About the Royal Victoria Dock Bridge, the south side of the harbor can be reached.

On November 26, 1855, the Eastern Counties and Thames Junction Railway opened here a station on the railway, which later developed the North London Line. The station of the DLR was followed on 28 March 1994, together with the branch line towards Beckton. With the closure of the section Stratford - North Woolwich on 9 December 2006, the platform of the North London Line was closed.

The Crossrail project for the construction of a commuter train across London provides for the extension of the Custom House to a transfer hubs. Trains on the branch line from to Abbey Wood are taking advantage of the former route of the North London Line, also, a new station building arise.
