Czarni Slupsk is a Polish professional basketball team. The Slupsk ( Stolp ) -based association occurs since 2005 under the names of SSA Energa Czarni Slupsk. The club plays in the Polish league, the Polska Liga Koszykówki ( German Polish Basketball League ).

History

The club was founded in 1945 by railroad employees under the name PPS Ognisko Slupsk. At this time the club had only a football section. The basketball section has been prepared by club Gryf (also from Slupsk ) acquired at the end of the 1980s. In the 2009/10 season Czarni Slupsk was trained by a native of Latvia former basketball Olympic champion Igor Miglinieks before its Lithuanian assistant Dainius Adomaitis took over the following season. He could repeat the greatest success of the team with the bronze medal in the championship in 2011, which had first won in 2006. The Latvian Uvis Helmanis also, known in Germany as a player of the National Basketball League, Adomaitis assisted while after he came to the club during the season.

Hall

The season games denies the club in the Hala Gryfia, a 1982 -built sports hall in Slupsk. The hall offers 2557 spectators.
