Daewon Song

David Daewon Song ( born Song Dae -won, as an athlete, Daewon Song, born February 19, 1975 in Seoul) is a professional skateboarder Korean descent.

Song was born in Seoul ( South Korea). His family moved to Hawaii when he was a year old. With two years they moved to Gardena ( California). This song was raised by his grandparents and his older sister and began at the age of 13 years with the skateboarding. He drives mostly Street and default in the Goofy -position. After a few years he was at a Demo Tour discovered by a talent scout of skateboard company Gemco and contracted. Later, he was sponsored by World Industries and also appeared in 1992 in the video Love Child. Seven years later, he terminated the contract and started his own company called Deca. In 2006, Song was named the skateboard magazine Thrasher Skater of the Year for. In the same year he won for his video performance skate More the Annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards in the category Video Part of the year. Currently, Song of Almost, Tensor, DVS, Spitfire, Matix and Active Mailorder is sponsored. His most famous skateboard video is titled Rodney Mullen vs. Daewon Song, which he made with his good friend Rodney Mullen. Song Dae -won is also a playable character in some parts of the Tony Hawk's skateboarding video game series.

He is regarded as one of the technically best pro skater in the world.

Song is a vegetarian and has a son. He lives in San Pedro (Los Angeles ).
