Dallas City is a city in the west of the U.S. state of Illinois. Dallas City is situated mostly in Hancock County and to a lesser extent in Henderson County.

On the afternoon of October 23, 1858, Abraham Lincoln gave a speech in Dallas City, directly on the banks of the Mississippi.

Geography and transport

Dallas City is located at 40 ° 38'12 " north latitude and 91 ° 09'55 " west longitude. The city covers more than 8.5 square kilometers, spread over 6.2 km ² land and 2.2 km ² water surface.
