Dan Bjornlie

Dan Bjornlie (born 17 October 1977 in Eagan, Minnesota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the Vienna Capitals of the Austrian Hockey League contract.

Career

Dan Bjornlie began his career as a hockey player in the team of the University of Wisconsin, where he was active in parallel with his studies from 1996 to 2000 in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. During this period he won with his university team in 1998, the championship of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. From 2000 to 2002, the defender played in his first station in professional hockey for the Quad City Mallards in the United Hockey League. In the 2001 /02 season he also played two games for the Portland Pirates in the American Hockey League.

In the summer of 2002 Bjornlie moved to Europe, where it ran aground in the following one and a half years for the SC Riessersee in the 2nd Hockey League, before joining during the season 2003/ 04 to the Cologne Sharks in the German Hockey League. For the Sharks, he scored a total of 16 points scorer in 66 games before his contract was not renewed in 2005. Then the Americans played two years for the German second division club SC Bietigheim -Bissingen. Since the 2007/ 08 season the links contactors for the Vienna Capitals of the Austrian Hockey League is active. For the capital club, he scored in the 2008 /09 season in the main round 55 points scorer, which he was the top scorer of all defenders in the league.
