Dane Richards
Dane Richards ( born December 14, 1983 in Montego Bay) is a Jamaican football player at the position of a wing and attack the player. He currently plays for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the top division in the North American Soccer, Major League Soccer (MLS ).
Career
Start in Jamaica and the USA
Richards began his active career as a professional football player in 2001 at Seba United in the Jamaican National Premier League, the top division of his homeland. In 2003 he came to the United States, where he came to San Jacinto College in Texas. Until his departure in 2004, he came to a total of 45 hits, including 25 goals as a sophomore. At college, he keeps up with the 45 goals in his entire college and with 25 goals in a season two undiminished records. In 2004 he was awarded the title as National Junior College Player of the Year. In 2005, Richards continued his career at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. In the Clemson Tigers, he managed in 2005 to twelve hits and eight assists. During the season, he scored some gambling Chechen Indented goals and was also honored several times. Among other things, he was in the All- ACC Tournament team in the Soccer America Team of the Week (8 November 2005) and mentioned team in the NCAA Final Four. In addition, he was awarded on 7 November 2005 as ACC Player of the Week. In addition, Richards was on the watch list for the Hermann Trophy, which is awarded to the best college player or the best college player of year.
The time for the New York Red Bulls
His professional career began on 12 January 2007 when he was drafted in the MLS SuperDraft 2007 in the second round as the 19th pick to the New York Red Bulls. His MLS debut was barely three months later, on April 7, at the game against the Columbus Crew. Just a week later, he made his first assist of his teammates for Clint Mathis. On May 5, Richards scored his first goal in Major League Soccer. After starting in his rookie year in 27 of 28 games, it scored two goals and made six assists, he was nominated for the MLS Rookie of the Year Award. There he made it to the finals where he was defeated at the end of Maurice Edu. The 2008 season started similarly to the previous season. Overall, Richards came up with three championship matches and six assists. On July 19, 2008, while playing against Los Angeles Galaxy, he injured his hip flexor, so it turned out for three games. Then he came into all four play-off games of his club to use and was ligated internally awarded MLS Cup Playoffs Player of the Week. In the MLS Cup in 2008, he managed his team to the finals, where he is so far the only player in the history of the New York Red Bulls, who made an assist in an MLS Cup final. The game was lost 3-1; the goal for the Red Bulls scored John Wolyniec. The Columbus Crew went for the first time in the club's history as a win. Team Intern Richards was voted Young Player of the Year.
On July 13, 2012 Richards moved to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. For the NYRB, he completed 147 league games, scoring 21 hits.
Internationally
In the National Team of Jamaica Richards made his debut in 2002 at the age of 18 years. During his studies, he came to another use in the dress of the Jamaican national team. His success in the 2007 season did not go unnoticed and it managed Richards returned to the national team in all five games of his home country where he was employed in the CFU Caribbean Cup in 2008 and was allowed to take the winner's trophy at the end. The following year, he was one of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 Jamaican posse came when Vorrundenaus but only a five minute short action against El Salvador. He also participated with the team in the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
