Daniel Gonzalez Guiza [ danjɛl gonθa.lɛθ gwi.θa ] ( born August 17, 1980 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain), also known as Dani Guiza, is a Spanish footballer.

Career

In the club

Earlier in his career played Daniel Guiza at the club of his hometown Deportivo Xerez. For the Spanish second division, he scored in his first season in 1998/99 hits in 16 games. Then he signed a contract with first division side RCD Mallorca, where he should be slowly introduced to professional football. In his first season at Mallorcans he was loaned to Dos Hermanas CF and played until 2002, often for the B team RCD Mallorca. For the Erstligamannschaft of RCD Mallorca, where he was under contract until 2003, he came to a total of seven league bets.

For the 2002/ 03 season he was the top-flight rivals Recreativo Huelva and borrowed in the second half of the season from FC Barcelona B. For the season 2003/ 04 Ciudad de Murcia undertook the striker, his team twice before the descent into the Segunda preserved with 38 goals in 81 games División. After two years in the second division in 2005 he moved to the Spanish first division side Getafe CF. With the club he qualified at the end of the season 2006/ 07 by the entry into the Spanish Cup final for the UEFA Cup in 2007 /08.

However Guiza returned before the season 2007/ 08 for RCD Mallorca, where he was subsequently Liga with 27 goals scorer in the Primera.

For the 2008/09 season Guiza was transferred for a club record fee of internal 15 million euros to Fenerbahce. He signed a four-year contract until the end of May 2012. His first goal in a competitive match for Fenerbahce, he scored in the third round of the Champions League qualifiers 2008/ 09 to 2-2 against Partizan Belgrade. His first Champions League game in which he also scored a goal, he played against FC Porto.

In August 2011, Guiza moved back to Getafe in the Primera Division. In the second season at the Madrid suburb club, he was not satisfied and moved on loan to Malaysia to Johor FC.

In the National Team

Because of its strong performance as a scorer during the 2007/ 08 season Daniel Guiza was first nominated on 9 November 2007 on the qualifying matches for Euro 2008 against Sweden and Northern Ireland for the Spanish national team. On November 21, 2007, he played in the 1-0 win against Northern Ireland his first international match. His first goal for the Selección Daniel Guiza scored on 18 June 2008 in the group stage match of the UEFA Euro 2008 against Greece. In the semi-final of the European Championship 2008, he scored the 2-0 against Russia and so sealed the Spain in the final.

At the Confed - Cup 2009 in South Africa Daniel Guiza came on twice. In the 3rd place match against South Africa he drove in the final minutes of normal time two goals to the 3-2 victory (aet) his team at.

His last international match so far, he completed on 3 March 2010 in a 2-0 friendly win against France. In May 2010, the aggressor in the preliminary squad for the 2010 World Cup was called, but canceled in the course of preparation for the tournament from the final squad.
